How does Business Change fit within M&G?

Business Change is the primary interface for all the M&G business units and works to understand their needs and deliver change. In addition Business Change works very closely with the Information Systems department to develop technology solutions to meet the business needs.

The department is made up of four teams:

  • Engagement Management; manage the relationships with each M&G business unit to ensure Business Change are well placed to support their change requirements
  • Project Management Office; provision of projects and reporting on progress of the overall change roadmap
  • Business Solutions; define creative IT solutions in line with both operational and Information Systems strategies and the business needs
  • Business Analysis; work closely with the business units to gather requirements, analyse problems and specify and implement both business and IT solutions

What is the role of a Business & IT Analyst?

The Business & IT Analyst is an integral member of the project team, adding valuable insight into all aspects of the project life cycle.

From gathering requirements from the business, providing analysis to develop solutions and working with the users to test and implement change, the Business & IT Analyst role guarantees a challenging environment where every day is different.

As a new Graduate you will work on projects alongside talented individuals and your skill set will develop quickly.

The Graduate Scheme

The Graduate Scheme is an excellent way to start a career at a company that values its people. M&G endeavours to support and encourage personal development in an environment that rewards individuals who display ambition, independent thinking and professionalism.

The Scheme is an 18 month programme. Graduates are placed on high profile projects from the outset to expose them to the various business areas and systems at M&G. This also gives Graduates the opportunity to develop their own network from both within Group Operations and other areas of the business. This scheme sits alongside M&G’s Investment and Technology Schemes to ensure that all of our graduates gain the broadest possible experience in their early years with the company.

Throughout the Programme, Graduates have a vast support network and are given comprehensive training, including

  • A ‘buddy’ from the Business Change team
  • A six week introductory programme that incorporates all aspects of the modern asset management industry
  • The opportunity to complete industry qualifications: IAQ and IMC
  • A variety of training courses to develop your interpersonal skills
